Alright, Bayswater… we need to talk.

After weeks of epic live music, wall-to-wall dancing, and enough guitar solos to power a small city, our very own Mara has officially tapped out. Yep – he’s calling time-out.

Now, don’t get us wrong – Mara loves live music. He loves the bands, the punters, the sing-alongs, the occasional interpretive dance that happens in the corner when someone’s had “just one more” 🍷. But after the last few weekends, he’s been seen clutching a cup of tea, mumbling something about “my poor ears” and “please, no more cowbell.”

And so, on Friday 5th September, The Barn Live will be CLOSED for a private function. No live music, no drink specials, no wild dancefloor antics. Instead, Mara will be enjoying a peaceful evening where the loudest noise s\he hears will be the microwave ping as his dinner’s ready.

What exactly happened?

Well, let’s recap:

• Two weekends ago, Mara was spotted dancing to SOUL CHISEL and his Apple Watch thought he'd run a half-marathon. 🕺💃
• Last weekend, he got caught up in a sing-off during a KISS THIS encore that went for so long the bar staff started having to give out drinks for free just to keep the patrons in the building 🎤

It’s been a lot. And while The Barn is all about turning it up to 11, even our fearless leader needs the volume knob turned down occasionally.

But what about us?

Don’t panic – it’s just one night. Think of it as the band tuning up before the next big set. Use this rare Friday evening wisely:

• Rest your dancing feet 🦶💤
• Hydrate (because you know next weekend’s going to be wild) 💧
• Practise your air guitar in front of the mirror so you’re ready to shred again 🎸
